Wholesale flower boxes, hat boxes and vases

Rigid boxes, hat boxes, bud boxes, clear bags-in-a-box and acrylic or glass vases. These are the products that turn a bouquet into a gift that can be carried, and they are the highest perceived-value packaging in the catalogue.

How to choose

• Upright height – for shipped bouquets the box must be taller than the bouquet. If the lid touches the flower heads at closing, the box is too small.
• Rigid vs folding – rigid boxes protect better and photograph better; folding ones are far cheaper to ship and are the usual choice for high-volume retail.
• Pack quantity – most boxes come 10 pieces per bag. Check the packing column before comparing unit prices, because the comparison is rarely like for like.
• Carton weight – boxes are the heaviest items in the catalogue after paper reels. Sea freight is usually two to three times cheaper per kilogram, so plan volumes ahead.

Because of the weight and bulk, boxes are best ordered as part of a consolidated shipment rather than on their own.
