This lavender bouquet wrapping tutorial shows how floral-print paper and folded white panels create a layered shell around a demonstration support. Watch the 90-second video for the order of the layers, then use the written notes to adapt the shape around your own bouquet.
Materials shown in the demonstration
- Purple floral-print outer paper.
- A soft white liner and white textured or embossed wrapping paper.
- A smaller printed-paper panel for the front.
- Ribbon, decorative trim, scissors and a suitable fastening method.
Follow the visible steps
- 00:00–00:13 — Start with the liner The opening shows the finished wrap. The demonstration then gathers a soft white inner layer around the support. Keep the upper edge light and open; this border will sit inside the more structured outer paper.
- 00:13–00:38 — Position the printed paper Angle a floral-print sheet so a corner rises behind the center. Add the matching printed layer while keeping the decorative face visible. Test the height around the actual flowers before tightening the lower section.
- 00:38–00:51 — Fold the white panels The white textured sheet is divided into smaller panels and folded into open shapes before being added at the sides. These pale areas separate the printed layers and give the outline more contrast.
- 00:51–01:05 — Check the raised points Adjust the printed and white panels so the different heights remain visible from the front. Gathering the paper tightly at every upper edge would flatten this effect; concentrate the fastening near the handle.
- 01:05–01:17 — Shape the lower section Bring the layers together at the handle and trim excess lower paper. Check that the grip is comfortable and that the decorative layers do not slide before adding the final front piece.
- 01:17–01:30 — Add the front layer and finish Fold a smaller printed panel across the front, keeping the taller back pieces exposed. Ribbon and decorative trim finish the handle. The final view shows how the white panels frame the purple print rather than covering it.
Adapt the idea to your own design
For a real bouquet, set the paper height against the flowers before securing the wrap. A broad bouquet needs more room at the opening than the compact support used here. The video does not supply sheet dimensions or a cut list, so treat the proportions as a design reference rather than an exact-size pattern.
Choose the decorative layers
Combine a patterned outer sheet with a quieter white layer when you want the print to remain readable. Compare stiffness and fold behavior as well as color: a very soft sheet will fall differently from a textured panel. Decorative appearance does not establish waterproof performance; check the product specification and keep any required water barrier separate from these visual layers.
