Materials to prepare
- Textured outer wrapping paper in a light neutral shade.
- A soft white inner wrapping layer.
- A separate strip of outer paper for the front and handle.
- Ribbon, scissors and a suitable tie or tape for securing the wrap.
The video demonstrates the packaging structure before flowers are added. Use the bouquet’s actual width and height to set your paper size; the same folds will sit differently around a compact round bouquet and a taller arrangement. This is a design reference, rather than a specification for one exact paper product.
Follow the wrapping steps
- 00:00–00:07 — Look at the finished shape. The pale wrap has two raised points at the back, a soft white inner edge and a lower front panel. A bright ribbon gives the neutral paper a clear finishing accent.
- 00:07–00:13 — Prepare the white inner layer. Gather the light material around the demonstration support. Leave its upper edge loose enough to create a soft border inside the outer paper. When wrapping fresh flowers, keep any required water protection separate from the decorative layers.
- 00:13–00:22 — Position the first outer sheet. Trim and angle the textured sheet so one pointed corner rises behind the bouquet. Check the height against the flowers before tightening the lower section.
- 00:22–00:29 — Gather at the handle. Bring the lower paper inward while keeping the opening relaxed. The upper edge should frame the bouquet rather than squeeze the blooms.
- 00:29–00:36 — Add the opposite sheet. Place the second piece on the other side. Stagger its point against the first instead of lining the two edges up exactly; this creates the layered outline visible in the finished wrap.
- 00:36–00:45 — Build the lower front panel. Fold a shorter strip and bring it across the front. Keep it below the two rear points so each layer remains visible.
- 00:45–00:50 — Finish the handle. Fold the remaining paper neatly around the lower section, checking that the grip stays comfortable and the front panel holds its shape.
- 00:50–00:55 — Tie the ribbon. Add the yellow bow and check the silhouette from the front. Try a ribbon that echoes one flower color when adapting the idea to a filled bouquet.
Choose packaging for this look
Start with the effect you want: a textured outer sheet gives the frame visual interest, while the white inner layer softens the edge around the flowers. A light neutral paper is useful when the bouquet already has several colors; ribbon can then repeat one accent without adding another busy print.
Before buying in quantity, compare the paper’s stiffness, surface texture, sheet size and fold behavior. Do not assume decorative textured paper is waterproof. Check the individual product details and add an appropriate water barrier where the flowers require one.
